Versions

Hold every take of a song under one title without losing track of which is which.

Steps

    Open a song from Library.

  2. 2

    Each version is listed with its tag: Live Recording, Session, AI Version, or Scratch Demo.

  3. 3

    To add another cut, go to Import, pick the file, and choose "adding a version" instead of a new song entry.

    Type your own tag if none of the presets fit — custom tags are saved and reused.

  5. 5

    In Library, use the version icon on a song row to pick which version to play.

  6. 6

    In a playlist, each track remembers the exact version you chose for it.

Tips

  • Favorites are version-specific, so you can favorite the live cut without favoriting the demo.
  • Play counts are tracked per version, which makes it obvious which take you actually use.
