Your complete songwriter toolkit

Created by a songwriter, for songwriters.
Built from 40+ years of writing, recording, and performing

My Music ToolKit is an all-in-one songwriting app for capturing song ideas, writing lyrics, recording demos, creating chord charts, managing song versions, organizing setlists, and documenting the evolution of your original music — using the files you already keep in Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox. Nothing gets copied to our servers. Your music stays in your cloud, organized in one central library.

Get Organized

Tired of hunting through different drives, folders, and devices for that one recording or lyric file? My Music ToolKit brings it all together. Attach a Live Recording, Studio Session, AI Version, or Scratch Demo to the same song. Add lyrics, chord charts, PDFs, and notes — all linked to one record.

Upload whole folders straight from your computer to your chosen cloud drive. Copy files between drives without downloading them. Download your entire library as a single ZIP backup.

One clean workflow. One place to find everything.

In a hurry? Tap HotTake once and the app does the rest — it records, transcribes, and files the audio and text into your chosen folder, time-stamped and ready to find later. One button, from idea to saved.

ScratchPad is a multi-channel mini DAW for song ideas. Record a quick take or layer several channels, then change the key with audio transpose, adjust the tempo in single BPM steps (or let the app detect it), and add effects — all without leaving the idea. Your takes, settings, and any lyric notes save straight to your cloud drive.

When you're ready to practice, Rehearse mode plays your setlist with charts and lyrics in a clean, full-screen view. It's a feature, not the focus — because the real work happens before you hit play.

Your songs, your cloud, one record

Connect Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox and link every version, lyric, chart, and recording to a single song record. Your files stay in your account; we store only references. No upload limits, no hidden storage fees.

Versions that stay attached

Keep multiple cuts of the same song — Live Recording, Studio Session, AI Version, or Scratch Demo. Add custom version tags too. Every playlist remembers exactly which version to play.

Wide format support

Play MP3, WAV, and OPUS files end-to-end. OPUS streaming works in modern browsers with a fallback for Safari, so your tracks sound great wherever you listen.

Playlists

Build playlists for rehearsals, gigs, or practice sessions. Reorder, shuffle, repeat, and queue tracks in the order you want them.

Lyrics, Charts & ChordPro

Attach lyrics, chord charts, PDFs, or ChordPro files to any song. Link them from your cloud drive or upload them directly. Print clean sheets for the stand or share them with your band.

ScratchPad

Capture a song idea anywhere. Record takes straight from your mic, transcribe them, and keep lyrics and notes in a drive folder of your choosing. Every save writes a timestamped draft — Audit Log - Lyrics_v02_09-01-2026_18.49.txt — and you can promote any draft back to the main file.

ScratchPad multi-track studio

Build an idea up layer by layer: add tracks, punch in and out over a highlighted window, set levels and effects per channel, master the mix, and save the mixes you like. Pitch and speed controls work here too, so you can try an idea in another key before you commit.

Backing tracks & stem mixer

Point at a folder of stems and every file becomes a channel with its own fader, mute, solo, effects and mastering chain. Reorder channels, drop markers, loop a section, save named mixes to come back to, and render a stereo mixdown straight back to your own drive. Stems download to the device first, so playback never stutters on stage.

Tempo & key control that stays in sync

Tap Detect and the app reads the BPM off the recording, or type the tempo you want. Step it up or down one BPM at a time without changing pitch, and transpose by semitone with the real key shown — D, D♭, C — not a number. The click track follows every change, and tapping the key or tempo puts it back to the original.

Proof of authorship

Every recording, lyric edit, rename, promotion and deletion is written to an immutable authorship trail with timestamps and SHA-256 file fingerprints. Print a report, or share a read-only trail link when you need to show a song is yours and not machine-made.

Rehearse setlists

Build a setlist and practise from a full-screen view: charts and lyrics laid out in paged columns while the audio plays, AI-learned automatic page turns, pitch shift by semitone, one-tap BPM detection and a tempo stepper that changes speed without changing pitch.

Share exactly what you choose

Public links for songs, playlists, pads and authorship trails. Tick what the recipient can see — playback only, lyrics, charts — and whether downloads are allowed. Copy the finished link or email it, and reset the link any time to cut off access.

Share packs

Bundle several songs into one link for a publisher, sync agent, client or collaborator — labelled as a share pack or a pitch pack. Choose per song whether they see lyrics, charts or ChordPro, whether files can be downloaded, and whether your contact details appear. Duplicate a pack to reuse it, switch it off, or reset the link when you're done.

Write together

Invite people into a ScratchPad as viewer, commenter or editor, add friends inside the app, and leave comments on songs and takes. Every collaborator's contribution still lands in the authorship trail.

Band & Team libraries

One shared library for the whole group on the owner's drive, four members included and more added by the seat. Invite members by link, approve what they upload, hand out manager or editor roles, and notify the team when something changes.

Practice markers & section loops

Drop named markers on any recording — Chorus 2, guitar solo, key change — jump straight to them, and loop between any two to drill a hard passage.

Song status & tags

Track where every song sits — Idea, Demo, Rehearsing, Recorded, Released — and tag songs any way you like. Filter the library by status or tag, and search matches tags too.

Favorites, history & play counts

Mark songs as favorites, see your personal play history, and view global and personal play counts beside each track. Know which songs you play most and which ones the band is wearing in.

Smart player

Shuffle, repeat, queue, and an always-visible mini-player. Offline cache keeps recently played tracks available when connectivity is spotty. A faux waveform visualises the track while it plays.

HotTake — one-button capture

A melody hits and you have seconds. Tap HotTake once: it records, transcribes, and files both the audio and the text into the drive folder you chose, named HotTake-DD-MM-YYYY. No setup, no naming, no menus — the button follows you through the whole app.

Upload from this device

Drag in files — or a whole folder, subfolders and all — and send them straight to a cloud drive folder of your choosing. Any file type is welcome, you can create the destination folder on the spot, and audio can be added to your library automatically when the upload finishes.

Organize across drives

Old demos on OneDrive, new sessions on Google Drive, stems on Dropbox? Pick files or entire folders on one drive and copy them to a folder on another. Folder structure is recreated for you, originals stay untouched, and nothing has to be downloaded to your device first.

Archive your whole library

Download a single ZIP containing your songs, versions, lyrics, and charts, organised by song, with a metadata file listing every detail. A real backup you can keep on a hard drive — your library is never locked inside one service.

Song details that travel with the song

Author, key, BPM, time signature, duration and the date written all live on the song record. Don't know the tempo? Press Detect and the app analyses the recording and fills the BPM in, with one-tap half/double-time correction. Add as many links as you like — YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music or your own — attach a video file from your drive, and print lyrics or charts with a clean header carrying those details.

Built for mobile

Designed for phones, tablets, and desktop, and shipping as an iOS app. Lock-screen, CarPlay and Bluetooth controls give you real previous/next track buttons, and connecting a cloud drive on a phone happens in the same tab, so no pop-up blocker gets in the way.

Two-factor authentication

Protect your account with an authenticator app (scan the QR code or enter the key by hand) or emailed six-digit codes. Tick Remember this device to stay trusted for 90 days, and you can forget every trusted device in one click.

Safety controls

Report or block anyone you've shared with, from friends and pad collaborators to band submissions. Blocking removes their access to your pads immediately, and reports come straight to us for review.

English & Spanish

The whole app — pages, guides, legal terms and the signed-in screens — is available in English and Spanish. We follow your browser or phone language on first visit, and you can switch any time from the language picker.
