Play an instrument track
Try parts by ear before you write them into the note editor.
Steps

Open an instrument track's editor in Studio.

Use the Editor / Instrument switch in the editor's toolbar.

Melodic instruments show a piano keyboard; drum tracks show labelled pads — kick, snare, hats and the rest.

Click or tap a key or pad to hear it. Play nearer the bottom of a key or pad for a harder hit.

Switch back to Editor any time. Playing the instrument never changes your saved notes.
Tips
- When you change sounds, a Loading instrument bar shows until the new sound is ready.
