HotTake

Capture an idea with a single tap when there's no time for menus.

One tap records, transcribes and files the audio plus text into your folder.

Steps

  1. 1

    Pick the destination folder once — HotTake saves into whichever folder you're browsing, and into a HotTakes folder otherwise.

  2. 2

    Swipe in from the right edge of the screen from anywhere in the app, or open HotTake from the menu.

  3. 3

    Sing or speak. Tap again to stop.

  4. 4

    The app records, transcribes, and saves both the audio and the text automatically, named HotTake-DD-MM-YYYY.

  5. 5

    Play any take back with the scrub bar from the HotTake page.

Tips

  • No naming, no dialogs — that's the point. Rename later if you want.
  • Turn on the spoken title keyword to name takes with your voice; see the guide below.
